Thai Buddhists celebrated the installment of a long-awaited statue of Buddha outside of a temple in Turley on Thursday. Wat Tulsa Hansen Dhammanusorn Temple, which opened at the beginning of 2016, is at 67th Street North and Trenton Avenue. Members of the temple practice Theravada Buddhism. The statue is eight feet tall, weighs nearly two tons and was placed on a five-foot concrete base.
